My university project
In the final year of my Computing and IT course at The Open University, I was given the opportunity to develop my own mobile application as part of a big independent working project.
I planned, designed, and eventually developed such a mobile app for medication management using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and the Apache Cordova development framework for cross-platform development.
As I was still new to web development at this time, having only dabbled in it intermittently throughout the rest of the course, I needed to carry out a lot of my own studying and research while working independently
Even though Cordova is now obsolete, I still gained a lot of mobile development experience, and knowledge of the wider world of web development as well.
My positive experience during this final uni project inspired me to focus on a web development career after finishing the course, and I joined Scrimba's front-end course to learn web development in more detail.
