Restaurant Website

Site for a small business

After previously completing my Garden Centre website, I was interested in creating a website for another common type of small business, namely a family restaurant.

I thought this project would also be a good opportunity to revise HTML form validation, practice creating a site without using a template from a previous project, and most importantly, try out the CSS Tailwind framework.

Using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS with Tailwind, I created another small responsive website for a realistic business.

I aimed for a simple, minimalist design that would be easy for a potential client to manage, and for the customer to find the information they needed. The design was inspired by some I'd seen used by local businesses, though I tried to make mine more efficient.

Even though I found CSS Tailwind a little messier and more cumbersome than expected, I'm happy with how the website shaped up, and having attained proficiency in yet another web technology. I also succeeded at producing a booking form with improved validation over the local examples I'd looked at.
