An educational website
After completing my other big projects, I wanted to make one REALLY big project based on idea I had for a website since before I started web development. Finally, I could make this dream a reality with React.
Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React, I built a single-page application that allows users to toggle between seven decades from the 20th & 21st century, and click on items of pop culture to learn more about them. The whole theme of the website changes according to the selected decade.
To provide the site with so many pop culture items, I created my own database, which I connected to via an API.
The text descriptions and many of the thumbnails were generated using AI, a recent technology I wanted to experiment with. I figured this would reduce the workload of hundreds of pop culture items.
